Recipe for Pizza



Pizza:


Ingredients:
Flour - 1 cup/ 240gms
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Dried yeast- 2 tsp or fresh yeast 4 tsp
Butter
Preparation:
Dough for Pizza:
Dissolve yeast granules and sugar in 1 tbsp lukewarm water to make a thick paste. After the granules dissolve completely, keep it aside till the mixture is frothy. Add this to the flour and knead the flour using more lukewarm water if necessary and add salt to the dough. Knead well till it is soft. Take a little salad oil and apply it on dough and cover it with damp cloth and leave it inside a warm place. The dough should be prepared 40-60 minutes before we wish to make pizza. It will enable the dough to rise.
Tomato Puree for Pizza:
Take 400 gms chopped tomatoes, 8-10 chopped onions, 1-2 celery stalks, 2-3 chopped flakes of garlic, 1tbsp salad oil, salt and chili powder to taste. Heat salad oil in pan and add garlic, after it is light brown add celery and onion and fry for about 5 minutes. Then add tomatoes, salt and chili powder. Cover tightly and simmer over low fire for about 1/2 an hour or till tomatoes are completely doen. remove from fire and sieve the mixture.
Garnishing:
1/2 cup grated cheese, chopped capsicum, chopped onions, mushroom, corns, jalapenos etc. You can also add chicken/mutton flakes if you want to eat non-vegetarian pizza.
Method/ Assembling the Pizza:
Roll out the dough and lay in greased tray. Pour tomato puree, sprinkle cheese, and put vegetable on top. Sprinkle some chili powder, dot it with salad oil. Place it in hot oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Serve hot along with some green salad, oregano, chili flakes and some sauce.
